The Healthy Practice of Reflection and Anticipation

This Sunday evening, January 5th, at 6:00 PM, we will gather for a special service that I believe is pivotal for our church family. During this time, instead of a traditional expositional sermon, I’ll guide us in reflecting on God’s work in 2024 and looking ahead to the opportunities and vision for 2025. I want to personally invite every member and prospective member of Fellowship to be part of this meaningful evening.

First, we’ll take time to reflect on the ways God has blessed our church this past year. Together, we’ll celebrate specific examples of His faithfulness in areas such as salvations, baptisms, new members, ministry launches, completed projects, financial provisions, and more. It’s so important that we pause to recognize and give thanks for these blessings—every one of them a gift from our good and gracious God. Reflection fosters gratitude and reminds us of His faithfulness.

Second, I’ll share exciting initiatives for the coming year. The pastors believe God has given us a clear vision for 2025 to make our church even healthier and more effective in our mission to help people find and follow Jesus. I’m confident our greatest days are still ahead! During this time, I’ll outline the upcoming preaching series, unveil future projects, and introduce new opportunities for spiritual growth and ministry involvement. These initiatives are designed to help each of us take the next step in our walk with Christ.

I encourage you to make this Lord’s Day a priority, both Sunday morning and Sunday evening. Let’s commit together to the healthy practice of reflection and anticipation as we celebrate God’s work in the past and prepare our hearts for what He will do in the future.

I look forward to seeing you Sunday!
